  • Accounting and Tax Manager
    RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Accounting and Tax Manager, your main responsibility will be to provide outstanding personal service to a section of our small business clientele. We interact with our clients on a frequent basis and our systems keep workflow running smoothly throughout the year. You will supervise and review monthly prepared statements, prepare and review tax filings (S Corp, LLC, 1040) and help our clients with ongoing tax planning. As a primary contact person, you will provide exceptional personal service to clients in long-lasting working relationships. We need your help to service a rapidly growing number of clients. And, you will have a seat at our management table. Your entrepreneurial drive to help us grow our business is just as important as your technical skills! QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years recent experience in an accounting firm working with small business Upbeat, confident and sunny personality Experience with compilation engagements Experience with tax return preparation for S Corporations, Partnerships and individuals General knowledge of payroll taxes and filings required Must be computer savvy and experienced with QuickBooks and MS Office Experience with Lacerte tax software is a big plus Desire to learn and grow your professional skills COMPENSATION: The Ellis Group, LLC will reward your talents with an attractive salary plus bonus.   • Full Time Bookkeeping
    RESPONSIBILITIES: As a part of our team, your aptitude for figures and problem-solving skills will help us deliver outstanding service to our small business clientele. Your excellent work habits, reliability, and energy level will help keep our work-product flowing smoothly throughout the year. We interact with our clients on a frequent basis and your professionalism and helpful attitude will make a wonderful addition to our team! Assist with processing client financial information Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations and sales tax reports Assist accountants with client projects Assist with payroll processing Take on additional client and administrative projects Prepare general correspondence and reports QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 1 year of general office/clerical experience Accounting experience a must Proficient in QuickBooks is a must Must be highly experienced with MS Excel, Word and Outlook Unique aptitude for figures and problem-solving Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail Bookkeeping skills, general knowledge of payroll and sales taxes a huge plus, yet we are willing to train High level of professionalism High-energy and positive attitude Outstanding work record (No job hoppers!) Organized and dependable self-starter that can manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
